About The Position

The Accounting Generalist plays a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, integrity, and operational support at Dellshire Resort, a medieval-inspired destination where technology meets timeless adventure. This position is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and daily financial reporting. The Accounting Generalist works collaboratively across departments to maintain timely and accurate financial records, support compliance with company policies and procedures, and contribute to the overall financial health of the resort. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, pre-opening and operational environment.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality or a service-based environment
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Workday or similar platforms) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment
  • Assist with accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reconciliation
  • Support daily revenue reporting and audit functions
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and documentation
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations (bank accounts, credit cards, and ledgers)
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready financial files
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of timekeeping records
  • Assist with tracking labor costs and reporting variances
  • Maintain employee financial records in compliance with company standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
  • Assist with audits (internal and external) and provide requested documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide support and guidance on financial procedures when needed
  • Assist with special projects and process improvements as assigned
