About The Position

Eaton's Accounting & Finance Development Program is a two-year rotational program designed to develop leadership skills and increase responsibility through successive rotation cycles. This program offers participants exposure to Eaton's accounting and finance functions, providing an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of operations accounting, financial planning & analysis, and the business acumen of various Eaton businesses. Participants will complete two six-month rotations in one location and one one-year assignment at a different US location. These assignments will provide hands-on experience to kickstart a career, including roles in manufacturing accounting (with a focus on cost accounting), financial accounting in a business group or division headquarters, and other areas like internal audit, group compliance, or technical reporting and analysis. Upon program completion, participants' experience and acquired skills should qualify them for finance and accounting leadership roles within Eaton's operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree program in business with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration or Analytics from an accredited institution with graduation date before August of 2026.
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of business experience completed at the time of this application.
  • Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Minor in MIS or Entrepreneurship.
  • Working toward CPA or CMA accreditation.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global partners, including other FLDPs, on high-impact functional projects.
  • Foster cross-regional insights and innovation.
  • Complete two, six-month rotations in one location.
  • Complete one, one-year assignment at a different US location.
  • Work in manufacturing accounting in a plant with a strong focus on cost accounting.
  • Engage in financial accounting in a business group or division headquarters.
  • Undertake other roles such as internal audit, group compliance, or technical reporting and analysis.
