About The Position

Hickory Mechanical is seeking a hard-working, dedicated Accounting Clerk to join its growing organization. The role supports accounts payable and receivable, project billing, financial reporting, vendor and subcontractor records, and general accounting activities. Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices daily and research them to ensure they correspond to quotes.
Prepare and process subcontractor time for payment processing.
Ensure payments are accurate, efficient, and processed in a timely manner.
Review and reconcile vendor statements.
Issue and approve purchase orders in the database.
Communicate with vendors to address billing issues and discrepancies.
Maintain vendor information and accounts.
Prepare and file 1099 year-end payments.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare and update the financial dashboard monthly.
Handle accounts receivable collections and additional accounting duties as needed.
Coordinate with project managers to prepare monthly AIA billings and process billing correspondence according to project deadlines.
Prepare Budget and Schedule of Values reports for contract projects to support and track progress payment applications.
Create and assign job numbers for contract jobs.
Pull inspection permits as needed for projects.
Prepare project close-out documents.
Maintain vendor and subcontractor Certificates of Insurance.
Assist with incoming phone calls.
