About The Position

The Accounting Associate is responsible for recording various journal entries for the general ledger. Day-to-day work includes preparing accounting statements and reports, reviewing and verifying journal-entry accuracy and accounting classifications, coordinating accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions, and using a computer to input, retrieve, or display accounting information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software.
• Strong aptitude for mathematics and analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting statements and reports.
• Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
• Use a computer to input, retrieve, or display accounting information.
• Record journal entries for the general ledger.
