The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks, with an opportunity to grow within a growing company. This role reports directly to the CFO.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work within a team dynamic
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the corporate setting
  • Some accounting knowledge preferred
  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by applicable regulations or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. “U.S. Person” includes a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create and reconcile accounts payable invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Weekly review and matching of payments to payables
  • Participate in monthly Finished Goods Inventory Purge process
  • Review and enter cash receipts on a timely basis
  • Performs other ad hoc related duties as assigned
