Exciting Opportunity at MSK – Accountant At Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), our accountants play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver world-class cancer care. In this role, you’ll contribute to maintaining strong financial operations through analysis, reporting, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of general ledger fundamentals and posting rules.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and analyses.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with financial systems, data entry, and reporting.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with auditors and team members.
- Ability to adapt quickly and contribute to multiple projects.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of healthcare or nonprofit accounting standards is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collect, record, and summarize financial transactions in compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
- Perform daily data entry and coding responsibilities to maintain financial records.
- Complete non-complex monthly account analyses and reconciliations.
- Prepare audit-ready financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support regulatory compliance reporting requirements for healthcare and nonprofit operations.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and special projects.
- Partner with colleagues across finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and practices.
