About The Position
Central Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant I to join our Accounting team. This position works closely with the Manager of Accounting and Senior Accountant to support the cooperative's accounting and financial operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees across the organization
Nice To Haves
- Two years of related accounting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Accounts payable processing
- Preparing schedules for the annual audit
- Assisting with the annual operating and capital budget process
- Supporting payroll and employee benefits administration
- Performing general accounting duties and providing accounting support throughout the organization
