About The Position

Axiom Care is seeking an Accountant I to maintain financial records and reports for several entities. This role involves performing account reconciliations, assisting the billing department with collections and reporting, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. The Accountant I will also support the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager and respond to management and audit information requests. Success in this role requires accurate general ledger maintenance and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), along with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliation and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits
  • Assisting the billing department with collections and reporting
  • Performing intercompany account reconciliations
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager as needed
