About The Position

Account Specialist – Property & Casualty Location: Remote At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We’re seeking an Account Specialist who will support client service excellence and operational accuracy. Requirements

  • Experience in a client service, administrative, or insurance support role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of personal lines insurance products and coverage
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and agency systems used within the Personal Lines function
  • Active Property & Casualty license for Washington state, or ability to obtain licensure within 60 days

Responsibilities

  • Supporting strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and high‑quality client service within the Personal Lines practice
  • Partnering with Account Managers and Producers to support daily servicing activities and workflow execution
  • Managing functional workflows related to quoting, policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and issuance of new policies
  • Completing quotes using comparative rating tools and carrier websites
  • Processing policy endorsements, cancellations, proof of insurance, and “what‑if” quotes on behalf of team members
  • Performing daily system downloads and maintaining accurate records in agency systems
  • Supporting administrative and operational tasks that ensure timely and accurate service delivery
  • Participating in self‑study, webinars, and one‑on‑one training to build technical knowledge and prepare for advancement
  • Analyzing information to support accurate coverage placement and service outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, insurance regulations, and internal workflows
  • Contributing to a collaborative culture that supports colleagues across Alera Group’s national network
