About The Position

Rain Bird is seeking a results-driven Account Specialist to join our Landscape Inside Sales team. As an Account Specialist, you will generate new business opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting, qualify sales opportunities, and manage existing customer relationships within an assigned territory. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving sales growth for our industry-leading hardware and SaaS solutions. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sales as a Sales Development Representative, Account Manager, Inside Sales Representative, Customer Success Manager, or a related role, with a demonstrated track record of achieving growth targets.
• Ability to thrive in an environment that includes outbound prospecting, discovery conversations, product demos, and challenging customers to consider new approaches and solutions.

• Experience selling SaaS, subscription-based services, connected devices, or other technology solutions.
• Proficient in using sales engagement tools and CRM platforms to manage customer outreach, account activities, tasks, leads, and pipeline.
• Demonstrated active listening and critical thinking skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and communicate compelling business value.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and achieving results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan designed to create a qualified pipeline, drive market share growth, and expand Rain Bird’s presence within the assigned territory.
• Generate qualified leads and opportunities through outbound prospecting, conduct discovery conversations to qualify opportunities, and partner with field sales and other cross-functional teams to win new business and support successful customer outcomes.
• Drive SaaS customer growth and retention by increasing adoption, improving renewal rates, expanding connected hardware opportunities, and proactively managing customer relationships.
• Utilize CRM and sales engagement platforms to manage customer interactions, outbound activities, tasks, pipeline, and performance metrics.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity, organization, and customer responsiveness to meet or exceed pipeline, customer retention, and growth targets.
• Travel up to 10% as needed for customer meetings, training, and industry events.
