About The Position
The Account Receivable Site Specialist supports the agency’s financial integrity by ensuring timely, accurate accounts receivable activity within an automated accounting and financial management system. This position exists to strengthen collections, maintain complete client/third-party records, and serve as an informed first point of contact for billing questions.
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in accounts receivable collections or the healthcare arena
- At least one (1) year working in an automated computer-based system
- Detail-focused and service-minded
Responsibilities
- Obtaining, researching, and updating client and payer information
- Completing client account audits
- Verifying Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance coverage
- Confirming employment and income status
- Reviewing daily schedules for co-payments and authorization status
- Communicating clearly with clients, clinic staff, vendors, and insurance representatives regarding billing practices and fee structures
- Checking updates in the automated system and organizing items that need follow-up
- Coordinating with clinic teams to confirm visit-related billing details
- Responding to questions from clients and third parties with clear, respectful explanations
- Reviewing records for completeness and accuracy
- Documenting outcomes
- Closing the loop on open items so accounts stay current and well-supported by reliable information
