About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides excellent customer service associated with the accounts receivable functions while building consumer relationships and securing payment, creating positive pay habits, and assisting customers with billing and service inquiries. Implements collection processes for past due accounts utilizing the multiple systems involved in the management of the clients' customer accounts. Documents all internal and external communications to ensure proper transmission of customer interactions. Assesses the critical information within a customers' account to determine the best course of action while retaining the customer. Manages a portfolio of customers by communicating via phone, fax, email and customer portals regarding balances. Manages communications and engages in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information to resolve questions and concerns. Responds efficiently and accurately to customers, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring our customers feel supported and valued. Adheres to all departmental procedures regarding daily operations to provide consistent customer experiences. Acts as a liaison between customers and other departments within the organization to mitigate credit risk. Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
