About The Position

The Account Manager is the point person for key accounts, responsible for servicing those accounts and soliciting new business to maximize profitability. The role positions Graybar as the primary supplier of electrical, communications, and security products and solutions. The position requires use of a personal vehicle for business purposes; Graybar offers eligible drivers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program. The expected starting salary is $90,000 annually, depending on experience, and the position is eligible for bonuses based on specific business metrics.

Requirements

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
• Use of a personal vehicle for business purposes.

Nice To Haves

• Four or more years of experience preferred.
• Four-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to increase sales and profits from key accounts.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity.
• Understand customer business needs and work with supplier partners to develop solutions.
• Present new products and answer questions about products and Company services.
• Attain or exceed sales and profit budgets.
• Service key accounts and solicit new business to maximize profitability.
