About The Position

ZGM is seeking a resourceful and collaborative Account Manager for their Calgary office. In this role, you will interpret client conversations into insightful briefs, apply critical thinking, and provide clients with thoughtful direction and advice. You will manage the creative process from briefing to delivery and reporting on results. You will actively seek new ideas, technologies, and contacts to expand your network. Project management and problem-solving skills are essential, and you will be expected to identify high-quality, on-strategy work. You will guide internal project teams to produce the best possible work, fostering an environment where the team is motivated to achieve exceptional results for clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a client service role at an agency (mass advertising or digital marketing) or as a Marketing/Communications Manager within a large, complex organization
  • Solid understanding of the creative and production process
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to design and deliver presentations
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a strong client service orientation
  • Demonstrated drive for results and commitment to the highest quality standards
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, or a related field is an asset
  • experience with Asana or a similar project management tool is an asset
  • Previous home builder experience is an asset
  • Genuine passion for the industry

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily client requests, ensuring all projects are properly assigned, resourced, and executed on time
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, keeping all stakeholders informed on account activity and project status
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business, industry, and competitive landscape to inform strategic recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships that support long-term partnership and growth
  • Lead every stage of the strategic, creative, and production processes — from brief to delivery
  • Develop clear, insightful creative briefs that align internal teams around client objectives
  • Create and maintain work-back schedules and critical paths to keep projects on track
  • Oversee the accuracy, quality, and brand consistency of all project deliverables
  • Manage pricing, billing, and budget tracking for each project, ensuring financial accuracy throughout
  • Identify and help develop new business opportunities, both within existing accounts and prospective clients
