Airgas is hiring an Account Manager in Elmira, NY. This role involves developing and executing sales plans to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts. The Account Manager will cultivate customer relationships by developing a deep understanding of their business and establishing a consultative relationship, linking customer business priorities to the Airgas value proposition. Responsibilities include preparing sales proposals, quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimating delivery dates. The role requires staying current with industry insights, Airgas product mixes, and competitor activities. The Account Manager will partner with internal resources, maintain clear communication with internal departments regarding customer information, and submit sales reports through SAP. Additionally, they will actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to minimize Airgas's working capital investment and financial risk. Other duties as assigned.
