About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are clean, green, and detailed. This role involves completing punch list items in a timely manner by collaborating with Crew Supervisors, Staff, and Irrigation Technicians. The Account Manager reports to the Regional Manager and supports their objectives for property improvement. The primary function is to service maintenance accounts, complete punch lists and service requests, conduct site walks, and maintain communication with clients and Mission management. This role also involves managing, training, and coaching the Crew Supervisors, Staff, and Irrigation Technicians to meet maintenance specifications, adhering to a 'Grass, Weeds, Trimming, Clean and Safety' mantra. Additionally, the Account Manager is responsible for turning in payroll, invoicing, proposals for minor items, and other paperwork on time, as well as maintaining monthly reports for equipment, tool inventories, and truck usage. Key responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving complaints and problems. The overarching expectation is to ensure accounts and staff operate safely, productively, and achieve profit goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum three years related Account Manager experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Fluent in English language skills (verbal and written) required.
  • Verbal bilingual language skills (English/Spanish).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid California drivers license with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
  • California state Pest Control Applicator's License.

Responsibilities

  • Service maintenance accounts, completion of punch lists, service requests and site walks with follow up communication with client and Mission management.
  • Manage Crew Supervisors, Staff and Irrigation Technicians with direction to complete the maintenance specification.
  • Ensure Grass, Weeds, Trimming, Clean and Safety mantra is followed.
  • Keep clients happy and maintain accounts to the maintenance specifications.
  • Managing, training and coaching the Crew Supervisors, Staff and Irrigation Technicians in alignment with company values.
  • Turning in staff payroll, invoicing and proposals on minor items and other paper work on time.
  • Monthly reports of equipment and tool inventories.
  • Monthly truck reports.
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Keep accounts and staff operating safely, productively and on target with profit goals.
