About The Position

billups is looking for a talented and motivated bilingual Account Manager/Media Planner to join our Montreal team. This hybrid position is an opportunity to grow within a fast-growing team specializing in the out-of-home media industry (OOH). Working closely with our partner agencies, media partners, and industry leaders, we spend every minute of every day developing impactful media solutions and planning effective and measurable out-of-home campaigns for our clients. Requirements

  • Position based in Montreal (Hybrid).
  • Excellent command of French and English, verbal and written.
  • 3-5 years of experience in media planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of out-of-home and the Canadian market.
  • Good knowledge of the French (France) advertising market.
  • Good negotiation ability.
  • Rigor and sense of organization.
  • Proactivity, autonomy, attention to detail, and ability to deliver precise and meticulous work.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and sense of working relationships internally and externally, and easy contact.
  • Good mathematical and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to create quality PowerPoint presentations for clients according to billups criteria.
  • Ability to independently lead client-facing presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify possible solutions, anticipate the consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations to support objectives.
  • Occasional travel required according to client and partner needs.
  • Proficiency in office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related field; or 3–5 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in media and/or advertising is required.
  • Experience in media planning is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the OOH industry and OOH media strategies is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with clients, agency partners, media vendors, and media operators, ensuring a strong understanding of client strategies, objectives, and key performance indicators.
  • Manage multiple client projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Plan, buy, negotiate, coordinate, and execute out-of-home media campaigns, including mid- to large-level plans and projects.
  • Develop comprehensive media plans that optimize client budgets and support campaign objectives, including clear recommendations, strategic rationale, and media storytelling.
  • Own the day-to-day management of client accounts, deliverables, timelines, campaign follow-up, and resolution of campaign issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and present proposals, media plans, client presentations, campaign reporting, proof of posting, attribution materials, and related documents according to billups standards.
  • Coordinate campaign activation, including tracking launch dates, managing artwork delivery and approvals, and liaising with relevant vendors to ensure campaigns go live on time.
  • Use internal tools, platforms, planning systems, and templates to support the planning process, ensure quality, and drive consistency across client deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, media partners, and vendors, and attend relevant client, partner, or industry meetings and events as needed.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the OOH media landscape, industry trends, and client and supplier activity across the Quebec, Canadian, and France markets, and share best practices with the broader team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Client Development, Investment, Production, AdOps, Platform Solutions, Marketing, and other departments, to support alignment and effective project execution.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying organic growth opportunities, supporting new business pitches, and collaborating with leadership and Client Development colleagues.
  • Communicate with clients, agency partners, media partners, and internal stakeholders in French and English.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Canadian OOH market, the France OOH market, and industry trends.
