About The Position

As an Account Manager I/II, you will provide trusted, relationship-based financial advice through meaningful, face-to-face interactions with members. You will build strong relationships by understanding members’ goals and needs, offering best-advice solutions, and creating tailored financial plans that support their short- and long-term financial well-being. This role is ideal for a member-focused advisor who thrives in a relationship-first environment and is motivated by helping members achieve their financial goals. This is a Full-time, Permanent role based in Vancouver and will report directly to the Assistant Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 and CUIC 210 (for Account Manager I)
  • Minimum 1 year of member service experience in the financial industry (for Account Manager I)
  • Experience engaging members in needs-based financial conversations (for Account Manager I)
  • Knowledge of personal banking products and services (for Account Manager I)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills (for Account Manager I)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Account Manager role (for Account Manager II)
  • Completion of Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 plus two CFP core curriculum courses (for Account Manager II)
  • Completion of IFC, CIFC, or CSC investments coursework (for Account Manager II)
  • Minimum 3 years of member service experience in the financial industry (for Account Manager II)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage member portfolios and provide complex financial advice (for Account Manager II)

Nice To Haves

  • Banking and/or call center experience would be an asset
  • Lending experience

Responsibilities

  • Supporting a culturally respectful, high-touch service experience aligned with local Indigenous values.
  • Providing comprehensive, relationship-based financial advice to assigned and unassigned members
  • Building and maintaining member portfolios through needs-based conversations and best-advice solutions
  • Identifying member needs and recommending appropriate products and services including lending, mortgages, and deposits
  • Recognizing opportunities and making referrals to specialized teams such as Wealth Management, Wealth Protection, and Business Banking
  • Meeting performance objectives that contribute to branch and organizational profitability
  • Applying service standards, policies, procedures, and controls to meet compliance requirements and mitigate risk
  • Supporting a positive, professional, and welcoming member experience
