About The Position

In this founder-led startup, our sales engine is accelerating and growing fast! Reporting directly to our Sales Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with a high-energy, aligned sales team and our expectations remain high. We’re looking for an individual contributor who brings a true "founder mindset" to this role - taking total ownership of your pipeline, mastering the product inside and out, and driving revenue with the same passion as the people who built the company. Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets in B2B environments.
  • Strong sales expertise with a deep understanding of sales principles and the ability to translate technical solutions into tangible business value.
  • Background in SaaS, MSPs, or payment solutions with a consultative approach to client engagement.
  • Exceptional discovery skills to identify business challenges and craft comprehensive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trusted client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and organized professional with a proven ability to adapt to changing client needs and priorities.
  • Familiarity with the needs of accountants and business owners, understanding their challenges and pain points.
  • Previous success in founder-led, start-up organizations, thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism, with a commitment to delivering measurable results.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Xero is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with payment gateways and/or credit card merchant accounts is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of small-to-medium (SMBs) business needs, particularly in invoicing and payment challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through independent prospecting, networking, and strategic relationship-building.
  • Own the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring tailored solutions align with client needs.
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Business Development Representative (BDR) to strategically target accounts to close deals.
  • Use a consultative approach to understand client requirements, present solutions that align with our company’s core values.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities to exceed sales targets.
  • Stay up to date on market behaviours, trends, and relevant industries such as SaaS, MSPs, and payments gateways to better support client needs.
  • Contribute to sales systems and process improvements while working alongside founders to refine strategies.
  • Build lasting client relationships by engaging empathetically, professionally, and as an expert throughout the whole sales process.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences, strengthening the company’s presence in the marketplace.
