About The Position

AlphaSense is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial seller to join its Global Accounts team as a US-based Account Executive. The role owns a book of multinational accounts headquartered or led from the Americas, with significant teams, users, and buying centers in EMEA. The Account Executive partners closely with an EMEA counterpart to develop shared account strategies and grow AlphaSense across customers’ organizations. This is an end-to-end, high-ownership sales role combining strategic account planning, executive relationship development, multi-stakeholder and multi-region deal cycles, account expansion, and proactive prospecting into new accounts and business units. The Account Executive develops champions across functions and regions and engages customers through onsite visits, executive briefings, and workshops. Success also requires disciplined execution, including mutual action plans, close follow-through on trials and next steps, accurate forecasting, and regular account reviews with the partner and leadership. The role is remote in the US, with New York City preferred; Eastern or Central time zones are preferred. Regular customer and team travel is expected. The position reports to the Senior Director of Global Sales.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in account mapping, multi-threading, and building relationships with senior executives and champions in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to explain complex business data and concepts to non-research audiences and communicate present and future value to people at all levels.
  • Experience growing accounts through expansion, cross-sell, and new use cases; ideally in SaaS or a comparable enterprise sales environment.
  • Ability to proactively prospect into new accounts and business units while managing an existing book of business.
  • Consistent delivery against sales goals, coachability, intellectual curiosity, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to collaborate across regions and time zones, share account ownership and plans, and prioritize account outcomes over individual credit.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings, onsite engagements, and team collaboration.
  • Must be based in the US; New York City and Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience expanding accounts from low five- or six-figure value to substantially larger business.
  • Experience in SaaS or a comparable enterprise sales environment.
  • Experience selling to multinational corporations with teams, users, and buying centers across the Americas and EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and execution for a book of Americas-led global accounts, partnering with the EMEA counterpart on accounts they lead where the Account Executive’s presence and relationships can accelerate deals.
  • Build and maintain a joint account plan with the EMEA partner for each shared account, aligning stakeholders, whitespace, deal timing, and a single global business case.
  • Build executive-level relationships and champions across Corporate Strategy, Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, M&A, and Investor Relations, and expand into new functions and business units.
  • Grow accounts through upsell, cross-sell, and new use cases, and open new accounts and business units alongside the existing book.
  • Run the full sales cycle, from prospecting through demos, trials, and close, in partnership with SDR, Product Specialist, and Account Management teams.
  • Forecast accurately and build the pipeline needed to meet and exceed quota.
  • Develop expertise in corporate customer needs and use cases, market dynamics, the competitive landscape, and product differentiation within the assigned vertical.
  • Gather and share product feedback from customers and prospects with sales and product teams.
  • Travel regularly for customer meetings, onsite engagements, and team collaboration, and travel as needed to advance opportunities, strengthen relationships, and drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain clear mutual action plans, follow through on trials and next steps, and participate in regular account reviews with the EMEA partner and leadership.
