The position may be based in San Francisco, New York, or remotely; remote employees should be comfortable traveling to the San Francisco office one to two times per month.

  • Direct accountability for originating opportunities and independently driving complex commercial engagements through close.
  • Personal experience selling and closing multimillion-dollar custom technology deployments or tailored technology engagements, including defining bespoke solution scope, navigating implementation tradeoffs, building quantified value cases, negotiating contracts, and aligning delivery commitments.
  • Experience selling into financial services and credible knowledge of banking and lending, asset and wealth management, and real estate investing, with deep expertise in at least one of these markets.
  • Practical AI and technical fluency: uses AI in their own work, verifies its outputs, and can discuss data, integrations, evaluation, and human oversight with buyers and technical partners.
  • Strong commercial judgment and execution, including creating access, writing clearly, developing compelling materials, and keeping multiple pursuits moving.
  • Ability to lead across teams without formal authority and personally perform detailed work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling AI products or solutions and understanding how customers evaluate, buy, and deploy them.
  • Experience building commercial motion and trusted relationships in a 0-to-1 startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the financial-services pitch and narrative, generate demand, and build pipeline through targeted outreach, executive and industry relationships, partners, conferences, and events.
  • Select target accounts, earn substantive meetings, and convert follow-up into sales-qualified opportunities.
  • Qualify marketing-generated and self-sourced leads by testing the problem, economics, buyer, funding path, and timing; determine whether to pursue, nurture, or decline opportunities.
  • Involve technical partners early to assess data, security, and implementation constraints.
  • Establish customer baselines and agree on desired improvements; create briefs and proposals, coordinate tailored demonstrations with product and deployment teams, and test economic assumptions.
  • Lead deals through scoping, pricing, security and legal review, procurement, and negotiation; validate commitments with product and deployment owners and provide a clear delivery handoff covering scope, success measures, and assumptions.
  • Translate prospect needs, buying signals, objections, and product gaps into recommendations for product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Maintain accurate account plans and forecasts, learn from wins and losses, and develop materials and practices that improve future sales pursuits.
