About The Position

This is a build role at VitalEdge Technologies, a company transforming heavy equipment dealership operations through its platform. The role is focused on driving new logo business within the equipment rental space of the heavy equipment dealership industry. The ideal candidate will understand the operational realities of rental businesses, including fleet utilization, downtime, service coordination, contract management, billing, and inventory visibility, and can leverage this expertise to build trusted customer relationships and drive new business growth. The position requires engaging dealership and rental leaders in business transformation conversations.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in equipment rental, heavy equipment dealerships, construction technology, or B2B software sales
  • Strong understanding of rental operations and dealership workflows
  • Proven ability to prospect and win new business
  • Comfortable selling to executive and operational stakeholders
  • Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
  • Ability to translate operational pain points into business value
  • High ownership mentality and self-driven approach

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling SaaS or operational software
  • Familiarity with ERP, DMS, telematics, fleet, or rental management systems
  • Existing relationships within the heavy equipment or rental industry

Responsibilities

  • Build New Business & Expand Strategic Accounts: Primarily a hunter role focused on driving net-new business across targeted dealer groups and rental organizations, while also identifying opportunities to grow and expand within select existing customer accounts. Create pipeline through prospecting, relationship development, and strategic account penetration across the territory.
  • Lead Business Conversations: Help dealerships rethink how they manage rental operations, improve utilization, streamline workflows, and increase profitability, rather than just demoing software.
  • Run Full-Cycle Sales: Own the sales process from first outreach through signed agreement, including discovery, demos, business case development, negotiation, and close.
  • Build Executive Relationships: Engage Dealer Principals, Rental Managers, General Managers, CFOs, and operational leaders across dealership organizations.
  • Drive Customer Experience Transformation: Position VitalEdge Technologies as a strategic partner by improving operational visibility, communication, and responsiveness to help dealers create a faster, more reliable, and more customer-centric rental experience.
  • Own Territory Strategy: Identify target accounts, create territory plans, and execute with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
  • Represent VitalEdge Technologies: Attend trade shows, onsite meetings, and industry events, serving as the face of the company within the market.
