About the position
As an Account Executive at Forum One, you will be responsible for developing new business and expanding existing accounts for the company's digital service offerings. Your role will involve creating and executing a targeted business development plan, cultivating leads, conducting outreach to target organizations and individuals, and identifying opportunities where Forum One solutions can meet prospect's needs. To be successful in this role, you should have strong relationships in the industry, experience in sales or account management with a focus on professional services or digital agencies, and a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Additionally, having previous experience in delivering digital solutions and expertise in key global issue areas would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a targeted business development plan to generate a long-term pipeline and achieve annual revenue goals
- Systematically cultivate new leads, convert leads to qualified opportunities, upsell existing accounts, and close deals for all of Forum One’s digital service offerings
- Conduct outbound outreach to target organizations and target individuals through networking events, meetings, email, and calling
- Identify opportunities where Forum One solutions solve prospect’s needs through understanding and experience with organizations who work with issues of importance, particularly in the target sectors of Global Health, Education Policy, Environment, Health Care and Health Policy, and International Development
- Collect market, competitor, and prospect intelligence on buying trends and key needs related to digital services through prospect research, industry literature and reports, and conversations and meetings with clients, prospects, and industry leaders
- Problem solving and continuous learning about the sectors served and creative digital solutions to meet their needs
- Excellent writing and communication skills with a passion for networking
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 5+ years of sales/account experience with an annual net new revenue target, and demonstrated evidence of meeting or exceeding those targets
- Sales or Account experience with a professional services firm or agency, digital services agency or consultancy
- Sales or Account experience winning work with enterprise size ($50M+) nonprofit organizations and government agencies
- Previous experience in a delivery role providing digital solutions to clients (strategic, project management, design, or technical) would be nice
- Direct sector or topical expertise within key global issue area would be nice
