About the position
As a Senior Account Executive, Government Growth, you will be responsible for developing new business and expanding existing accounts in the government sector. Your role will involve identifying and articulating sales strategies, delivering presentations and proposals, and advising clients on digital strategy and implementation. To succeed in this position, you should have strong relationships within the industry and target federal agencies, as well as a track record of success in both virtual and in-person environments. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a targeted business development plan to generate a long-term pipeline and achieve annual revenue goals
- Systematically cultivate new leads, convert leads to qualified opportunities, upsell existing accounts, and close deals for all of Forum One's digital service offerings
- Conduct outbound outreach to target organizations and target individuals through networking events, meetings, email, and calling
- Identify opportunities where Forum One solutions solve prospect's needs through understanding and experience with organizations who work with issues of importance
- Collect market, competitor, and prospect intelligence on buying trends and key needs related to digital services
- Excellent writing and communication skills with a passion for networking
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 8+ years of sales/account experience with an annual net new revenue target, and demonstrated evidence of meeting or exceeding those targets
- Sales or Account experience with a professional services firm or agency, digital services agency or consultancy
- Sales or Account experience winning work with enterprise size ($50M+) nonprofit organizations and government agencies
- Previous experience in a delivery role providing digital solutions to clients
- Direct sector or topical experience
Requirements
- Strong, verifiable relationships in industry and within target Federal Civilian Agencies
- Demonstrated success in a virtual and in-person environment
- Ability to develop and execute a targeted business development plan
- Experience in generating a long-term pipeline to achieve annual revenue goals
- Ability to systematically cultivate new leads and convert them into qualified opportunities
- Upselling existing accounts and closing deals for digital service offerings
- Conducting outbound outreach through networking events, meetings, email, and calling
- Identifying opportunities where Forum One solutions solve prospect's needs
- Experience with Education Policy, Environment & Energy, Public Health and Healthcare Policy, Arts & Cultural Institutions, and International Development sectors
- Collecting market, competitor, and prospect intelligence on buying trends and key needs related to digital services
- Appetite for problem-solving and continuous learning
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree or higher

- Sales or Account experience winning work with enterprise-size ($50M+) nonprofit organizations and government agencies
