About The Position

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Account Director to drive growth and innovation with a strategic hyperscale data center customer. The role serves as a trusted advisor, builds long-term customer partnerships, and influences account strategy while coordinating integrated solutions across business units. The position can be managed remotely, but the candidate should be based near Austin, Texas.

Requirements

12 or more years of experience in sales or account management.
At least 5 years in the energy or power sector, selling solutions similar to Hitachi Energy’s.
Proven success in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Must already have work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Willingness to travel 30%.
Bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

Ideally 5 or more years working with data center clients, preferably hyperscalers.
MBA.

Responsibilities

Build and nurture executive-level relationships with a strategic data center customer.
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive account strategy.
Drive growth by aligning customer needs with Hitachi Energy’s solutions.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across five business units.
Act as the central point of contact for customer interactions and escalations.
Represent customer interests internally while supporting business unit goals.
Mentor and guide internal teams to ensure alignment and success.
Lead strategic negotiations and manage complex projects.
Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
