About The Position

Maintains routine account ledgers and files; reconciles accounts; processes unpaid and overdue accounts; performs routine data entry, makes journal entries and performs basic accounting and related work as required. Assists Finance personnel with the creation of requisitions, manual journal entries, vouchers, and receipts to ensure debits and credits are made to the proper general ledger account; prepares collection accounts, as needed; and maintains files. Assists with reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Checks general ledger accounts; analyzes, compiles, and organizes pertinent data for entry and review. Analyzes ledger activity and assists in making corrections and adjustments, as deemed necessary. Prepares routine reports of transferred accounts; maintains records and lists of accounts by classification. Answer telephones and assist other personnel and the public as necessary. Performs data entry, forms, correspondence, or vouchers, as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an associate’s degree in business or accounting
  • 1 year of experience in basic accounting or finance
  • Working knowledge of the application of bookkeeping principles to routine accounting transactions
  • Ability to apply bookkeeping principles in keeping accounting records
  • Working knowledge of office methods, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to make arithmetical computations quickly and accurately
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Verification of eligibility to work in the United States
