About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a Security Specialist to support a large, multi-building research and pharmaceutical campus in Princeton. The role focuses on access control and visitor management at a guard station, scheduled campus patrols, monitoring activity, and responding appropriately to incidents or irregularities. Officers must be comfortable transitioning between a stationary post and active patrol duties. This is a hands-on, active security role requiring alertness, sound real-time decision-making, attention to detail, customer service, and critical thinking. Officers are expected to remain engaged, observant, responsive, dependable, and consistent in attendance throughout their shifts. The position is offered at $22.50 per hour, with full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Active SORA License required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including comfort navigating systems and databases.
Strong customer service or client-facing experience.
Ability to think critically and problem-solve in real time.
High level of reliability, accountability, and professionalism.
Ability to remain engaged and attentive throughout the shift.
Ability to conduct foot patrols and work in various weather conditions.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings.
Must be able to reliably commute to the site.

C•CURE experience is a plus.
Security experience is valued.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment through active monitoring and a visible presence.
Manage visitor check-in and check-out systems accurately and attentively.
Conduct scheduled foot patrols of the campus.
Observe, assess, and respond to incidents using sound judgment.
Complete reports and documentation clearly and accurately.
Provide professional, customer-focused interaction with employees, tenants, and visitors.
Follow DSI and client-specific policies and procedures.
