About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through solutions in Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. The Security Access Control Specialist performs security-related database, document-processing, records-management, and clerical duties at customer sites. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and relevant security-field experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in the security field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs database queries using DISS and Scattered Castles, prints reports and results, retrieves case files, and makes appropriate database entries.
• Performs Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAMS) at customer sites.
• Destroys confidential documents.
• Processes security documents and visit requests.
• Sends, receives, and processes confidential and classified materials.
• Sets up and maintains files.
• Coordinates classified reproductions.
• Maintains security precautions and performs a variety of complex clerical tasks.
