About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Doraville, Georgia, you will help safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, greeting visitors, and communicating professionally with employees and drivers. The role supports security operations through attentive observation, clear reporting, and a visible presence that helps deter incidents.

The position is full-time and pays $15.42 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle records.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations, to identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Support the orderly flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic while following established package-handling and distribution procedures.
