About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in West Point, Georgia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and helping deter security-related incidents while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity and teamwork.

This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities while providing customer service to clients.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while supporting orderly movement throughout the location.
