About The Position
As an Access Associate, you will provide administrative support, including greeting patients, completing check-in and check-out procedures, and processing payments. You will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, so a warm and inviting disposition is important. The position is with RGH Genesee Valley Dermatology & Laser Centre in Rochester, New York. It is full-time, 40 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Nice To Haves
- A two-year degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls and provide necessary information.
- Greet patients, provide directions as needed, and schedule appointments.
- Complete patient registration according to departmental policy.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, and obtain precertification or authorization when applicable.
- Collect and process payments when applicable.
