Part Time Academic Success Coach
About The Position
Brightmont Academy is seeking a part-time Academic Success Coach to supervise students during Homework Studio, an independent learning period that supplements one-to-one instruction. Students use computers and a quiet work area to complete coursework-related assignments, practice study habits, build executive function skills, and/or take exams. The coach oversees students and motivates them to complete their tasks. Brightmont Academy provides one-to-one instruction for students in grades 1–12 in a personalized learning environment. Its teaching model focuses on tailoring instruction to students’ needs and learning styles and supporting their progress toward mastery. The role does not involve lesson planning, parent conferences, or extensive grading. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, if applicable, and pass a federal background check.
