The Gould School of Law is seeking to hire an Academic Services Coordinator to join the Office of Academic Services. This role assists in conceptualizing, planning, preparing, and coordinating curriculum development and revision activities for the school. It involves developing and refining curriculum minors in collaboration with faculty, and receiving, reviewing, and analyzing requests for changes in course and degree programs and academic policies and procedures. The coordinator advises deans, department chairs, faculty, and department staff on submission requirements and assists them in preparing and presenting new or modified courses and programs, and requests for policy changes. The role also involves preparing and maintaining accurate degree progress summaries for students, updating the student record computer system, and responding to student and staff inquiries regarding registration, course scheduling, degree checks, transcripts, diplomas, academic status, and petitions. Additionally, the coordinator counsels students on transfer credit evaluations and degree requirements, assists with the preparation and dissemination of academic services-related content, and supports the planning and administration of final exams and grade processing. The position also involves training student workers, coordinating with Publications to ensure accurate record-keeping in the catalogue and schedule of classes, and maintaining detailed records pertinent to curricula and policy. The coordinator must stay current on ABA and school-wide standards and assist with program policy development and implementation. A key responsibility includes assisting with final exam administration and proctoring at the end of semesters and commencement.
