About The Position

This full-time clinical faculty position in Adult Emergency Medicine provides patient care within the Tampa General Hospital Emergency Department system, with clinical sites in Crystal River, Brooksville, Spring Hill, Brandon, and Tampa. The role is fully clinical and may include supervision of medical students and residents. It offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care in an academic environment supporting teaching, collaboration, and innovation across multidisciplinary teams. The position includes teaching, research, service, related administrative activities, and academic advising. The physician may represent the university, college or school, or department, and is responsible to a chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a state university.

Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited institution, or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
Hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent; must obtain and maintain a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License.
Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care at Tampa General Hospital Emergency Department system sites in Crystal River, Brooksville, Spring Hill, Brandon, and Tampa.
Teach residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical medicine.
Participate in teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
Provide academic advising and related activities.
May represent the university, college or school, or department.
Maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and medical staff membership in good standing at assigned hospitals.
