  • Ability to independently organize day-to-day assignments, facilitate workshops and outreach, maintain accurate records, use student-success and career-development technologies, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

  • Advise students on degree planning, registration, academic milestones, and University processes within established training, policy, and role scope; coordinate with Academic Advising or academic programs when specialized curricular interpretation is needed.
  • Connect students with career exploration, internships, student employment, research, service learning, employer engagement, graduate education, and other career-connected or experiential opportunities, and help students articulate skills gained through academic and co-curricular experiences.

  • Participate in coordinated care and case-management practices and work with faculty and campus partners to connect students with appropriate academic, financial, wellbeing, and student-support resources.
  • Support CI Compass programming focused on workforce alignment, career readiness, academic-to-career connections, student engagement, and transitions from college to employment or graduate education.
  • Facilitate workshops, presentations, class-based activities, and cohort experiences on academic planning, career exploration, professional development, transferable skills, goal setting, and related student-success topics.
  • Collaborate across Academic Advising, Career Development, faculty, employers, alumni, community partners, and other campus units to strengthen referral pathways, coordinated programming, and shared student-success practices.
  • Refer matters requiring formal policy, personnel, procurement, fiscal, or other institutional approval to the responsible university office.
