About The Position

Saronic Technologies is a defense technology startup developing secure, mission-critical systems and autonomous maritime platforms. The A/V Technician supports conference room and event technology across the company’s campus, providing hands-on assistance for meetings, executive events, and live productions. The role maintains and supports A/V infrastructure and helps ensure a reliable, secure, and effective experience for users in a fast-paced environment.

The technician provides immediate on-site support, configures and maintains collaboration and room-control systems, supports video walls and digital signage, and handles equipment setup and logistics across facilities. The position also troubleshoots hardware, software, network, and integration issues; supports user training and installations; and manages incidents through ServiceNow. Duties may include podcast, livestream, and internal broadcast production. The role participates in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation and may travel up to 25% to remote offices, event sites, or production facilities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the Audio Visual field; IT experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Logitech, Huddly, and Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
• Experience configuring, controlling, and troubleshooting Q-SYS audio DSP.
• Familiarity with video wall and digital signage technologies and content management systems.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations involving executives or government officials.
• Ability to lift and transport A/V equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
• Ability to meet the U.S. Person status requirement for access to export-controlled information or items.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting A/V systems in production or manufacturing environments, including factory floors, engineering labs, or test facilities.
• Familiarity with BrightSign or similar digital signage management tools.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, PoE, and VLAN configuration for A/V systems.
• Background in podcasting, livestreaming, or video production.
• Experience supporting A/V systems in secure or classified communications environments.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, on-site assistance for A/V issues in conference rooms, huddle spaces, and large event areas.
• Support, maintain, and optimize A/V infrastructure, including Logitech, Huddly, and Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
• Configure and maintain Q-SYS audio DSP and control systems for conferencing and room automation.
• Operate, configure, and maintain video wall and digital signage systems across offices, production floors, and lab environments.
• Manage and organize A/V inventory and logistics across multiple facilities.
• Set up, operate, and dismantle A/V equipment for meetings, events, and live productions, including secure and executive sessions.
• Perform system health checks, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot A/V, network, and integration issues across hardware, software, and connectivity layers.
• Provide end-user support, training, and installation assistance for A/V and collaboration systems.
• Manage support requests and incidents through ServiceNow, including updates and resolution tracking.
• Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Security teams to ensure A/V systems are integrated, secure, and compliant.
• Produce and support podcasts, livestreams, and internal broadcast events as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend event or system support.
• Travel to remote offices, event sites, or production facilities, up to 25%.
