About The Position
Under the supervision of a Communications Supervisor, the purpose of this position is to receive requests for police, fire and emergency medical assistance from the public and dispatch these requests to the appropriate agencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Data entry and computer use experience.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license.
- Maintain performance certifications and minimum training standards required by State and Federal guidelines.
- Complete Michigan LEIN operator training.
- Maintain LEIN/NICI fingerprint clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Prior work experience with public safety dispatching.
Responsibilities
- Receive requests for police, fire and emergency medical assistance from the public.
- Dispatch these requests to the appropriate agencies.
