About The Position

BakerRipley Community Schools is seeking a 6th Grade Math Teacher to provide excellent instruction and support students' full potential. The teacher will deliver instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), create a welcoming, inclusive classroom, and address the needs of students with diverse needs. The role also involves assessing student progress, managing the classroom positively, and collaborating with staff and families to support student success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid Texas state certification or license as a teacher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Internalize and deliver lesson plans aligned to TEKS for the assigned content and grade level.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies.
• Effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Interpret and explain student data and progress monitoring.
• Use technology and multimedia resources in the classroom.
• Stay current on best practices and developments in education.
