About The Position
Teach sixth-grade mathematics as part of a teacher team delivering a rigorous curriculum in a structured, joyful environment. The role involves working on campus and remotely. Licensed teachers teach four days per week and complete remote planning work on Fridays; licensed teachers receive expanded benefit support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant fields include education, mathematics, science, or interdisciplinary studies.
- At least two years of experience working with youth.
- Ability to pursue education to become licensed in North Carolina; acceptance to an EPP Program is required.
- A teaching demonstration is required.
- Ability to work on campus and remotely is required.

- Teach a rigorous curriculum in a high-quality and engaging way.
- Contribute to a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture and implement school-wide policies in classrooms and throughout the campus.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth through feedback, coaching, and professional development.
- Use student achievement data to set ambitious academic goals for students.
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate results to families and colleagues.
- Provide individual or small-group instruction for students needing additional assistance.
- Participate in tutoring, after-school activities, and the broader school community.
