About The Position

Teach sixth-grade math in a middle school that offers a rigorous curriculum in a structured, joy-filled environment. The role includes teaching engaging lessons, contributing to a team-oriented and mission-driven school culture, and implementing school-wide policies in classrooms and across campus. Teachers are expected to pursue ongoing professional growth through feedback, coaching, and professional development; use student achievement data to set ambitious goals; assess student progress and communicate results to families and colleagues; and provide additional individual or small-group instruction as needed. The role also includes tutoring, participating in after-school activities, and contributing to the larger school community. A teaching demonstration is required. The position requires the ability to work both on campus and remotely. Licensed teachers teach four days a week and work remotely on Fridays for planning. Licensed teachers receive expanded benefit support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; relevant fields include education, math, science, or interdisciplinary studies.
At least two years of experience working with youth.
Ability to pursue further education to become licensed in North Carolina; acceptance to an EPP Program is required.
Ability to work on campus and remotely.
Completion of a teaching demonstration.
