About The Position

Study Smart seeks a part-time Math Tutor to support students in grades 6–8 in Ridgewood, NY. The tutor will provide support to small and large groups, adapt to instructional materials and teaching strategies, communicate consistently with Study Smart staff, and work with the Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to students. The schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM EST.

Study Smart works with partners to promote educational equity, access, and student success through culturally responsive academic support. The organization aims to close opportunity gaps and empower students through strong community partnerships and inclusive learning environments.

The role pays $50 per hour, with onboarding, training, preparation, and support paid at $22 per hour. Study Smart also offers a 401(k), no-cost virtual counseling and therapy services, and eligibility for an employee referral program bonus.

Requirements

• Hold a completed four-year degree.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
