The Stanford Health Care 3D and Quantitative Imaging Laboratory (3DQ Lab) is a specialized interdisciplinary center within the Stanford Department of Radiology. Its core mission is to develop and apply innovative software and visualization techniques to analyze medical imaging data. These methods directly translate complex 2D data into actionable clinical models. The lab leverages advanced image-processing platforms to support multiple medical specialties, including cardiothoracic surgery, oncology, neurosurgery, and pediatrics. The 3D Lab Radiology Reading Room Assistant is responsible for performing ancillary tasks that support imaging workflows and allow radiologists and imaging teams to focus on primary clinical functions. These tasks include triaging inbound communication, identifying and tracking work across Epic and web log, (including manually detecting 3D requests that don't trigger lab notifications), enter and route requests in the portal, distribute completed reports, and close the loop with invoicing and finance follow up.
