About The Position

The Supervisor of 3D Lab oversees day-to-day operations of the 3D Lab, including workflow coordination and quality assurance. Responsible for monitoring work output and ensuring high-quality post-processing following established departmental and QA protocols using independent judgment and initiative. Provides feedback to staff regarding individual cases and image quality to support continuous improvement. Performs advanced 3D post-processing and image reconstruction as needed. Organizes work priorities and adjusts operations to meet changing demands. Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, performance management, timecard reconciliation, staff training and development, and ensuring operational and quality performance standards are achieved.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in related field required.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in CT/MRI required, including at least one (1) year of supervisory responsibility.
  • Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage workflow and unit productivity.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational and process improvements.

  • Diagnostic Radiology - ARRT-RT(R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Registered Technologist, Radiology, and - CRT- Certified Radiologic Technologist by the State of California Department of Health Services in Radiology

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily workflow and prioritization of 3D Lab requests, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
  • Monitors work output and reviews cases for quality, providing feedback to staff on technical performance and image quality.
  • Coordinates scheduling and resolves operational issues, working with internal departments to support imaging workflows.
  • Functions as a technical resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to staff.
  • Maintains and oversees 3D post-processing protocols to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Identifies equipment and system needs; recommends maintenance, upgrades, or repairs as appropriate.
  • Participates in and oversees orientation, training, and competency development of staff.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities including hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and staff development.
  • Ensures accurate documentation, data tracking, and reporting for operational and quality metrics.
  • Develops, revises, and implements departmental procedures and communicates changes effectively.
  • Monitors and manages productivity, workflow efficiency, and service levels.
  • Performs advanced 3D post-processing and image reconstruction as needed to support operations.
