About The Position

The BOLT (Building Opportunities & Learning Together) Intern Program is Kinder Morgan’s elite summer internship program. This program offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry while enhancing professional and interpersonal skills. Kinder Morgan is one of North America's largest energy infrastructure companies, owning and operating extensive pipelines and terminals that transport and store various energy products. The company is a market leader in Natural Gas Pipelines, Products Pipelines, CO2, and Terminals, with a significant and strategically located asset base crucial to North American energy infrastructure.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Demonstrated experience leading teams of people (during school, work, or personal life).
• Self-motivated and driven, with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak publicly in front of groups.
• Ability to function effectively in both a team and individual environment.
• Attention to detail and strong computer skills.
• Driven to discover and determined to deliver.
• Open to travel in the United States.
• Must clear a drug screen and complete a background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development and execution of natural gas facility projects, including high pressure transmission pipeline, compression, gathering, treating, and processing.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Execute construction drawing reviews.
• Complete project scoping plans.
• Complete cost estimates.
• Perform financial forecasting.
• Gain on-site field experience for ongoing construction activities.
• Present a summary of the summer internship experience to management.
