Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational understanding of office and field survey workflows.
  • Solid computer skills including experience with test design, databases, Excel, and networking principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
  • Full-time availability for a 12-month commitment starting May or June 2027.
  • Background or field of study in civil engineering, surveying, geomatics, photogrammetry, remote sensing, mining, or construction.
  • Understanding of basic field survey practices and terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication capabilities.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Curious attitude coupled with ability to work collaboratively with remote and in person teams
  • Availability for a 12-month full-time commitment starting in May or June 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on practical surveying experience.
  • Familiarity or interest in C# programming and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with GIS platforms such as Esri products, ArcGIS, or spatial databases.
  • Experience or familiarity with Trimble hardware (GNSS receivers, Optical and scanning instruments) or software systems like Trimble Access or Trimble Business Center.
  • Prior experience troubleshooting technical hardware or software tools.
  • Experience with deep learning, large language models, and other AI techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Apply survey and GIS knowledge to guide product development and define optimal user workflows.
  • Execute exploratory testing and design test cases using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Build and expand automation testing frameworks by writing code that simulates real-world end-user operations.
  • Track, analyze, and report automated test results from daily runs to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead time-sensitive feature and enhancement projects across cutting-edge geospatial hardware and software portfolios.
  • Partner directly with customer and beta user communities to gather product insights and refine user experiences.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams to produce engaging educational and promotional print and video content.
  • Develop and execute testing plans using advanced GNSS, total stations, and laser scanners to ensure high-quality releases.
