About The Position

Teaches developmental, freshman, and sophomore-level courses within the Computer Information Technology curriculum while supporting student engagement, academic success, and instructional excellence. This is a full-time 12-month/tenure track faculty position.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer-Based Information Systems, Instructional Technology, or a business/computer-related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of non-teaching work experience in a computer-related field and/or applicable industry certification(s).

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer-Based Information Systems, Instructional Technology, or a business/computer-related field.
Bilingual – English/Spanish.
Working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and the ability to use them responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

Teach and supervise students in assigned Computer Information Technology courses using effective instructional methods and technologies.
Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments in accordance with College standards.
Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain required academic records and reports.
Advise and support students regarding academic progress and connect them with appropriate College resources.
Utilize technology and learning management systems to support classroom and online instruction.
Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, student recruitment, retention, and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain current knowledge of computer technologies, industry practices, and effective teaching methodologies.
Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, College administration, and the community.
Participate in institutional meetings and professional development activities.
Adhere to College policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
