The Cosmetology Instructor provides high-quality classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technology programs. The instructor will prepare students for licensure and successful careers in the beauty and wellness industry by delivering industry-aligned instruction, evaluating student learning, and promoting professional standards and customer service excellence. The instructor assists with the planning, organization, operation, and administration of the student clinic, ensuring students gain practical experience in a professional salon environment. In collaboration with the Program Director, the instructor supports clinic operations through supply ordering, inventory control, equipment and product management, and maintenance of instructional and clinic resources. The instructor will support student success, maintain compliance with North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners regulations, assist with state board inspections and recordkeeping requirements, and build partnerships with industry professionals to ensure program relevance, regulatory compliance, and workforce readiness. Faculty, whether designated as curriculum or continuing education, may be assigned instructional hours in either curriculum or continuing education courses as necessary to meet minimum workload requirements and institutional needs.
