The extension has really made a difference in my job search! It is easy to add info from a number of job boards to my Teal account to track positions I’m interested in and effectively manage a lot more information on possible career tracks than I could do with a conventional job application tracker system. It is easy, effective, works with most major job boards applications (like Workday or LinkedIn) and in cases where it doesn’t play seamlessly it’s extremely efficient to copy and past info from the site. Teal is amazing and the Chrome extension is invaluable! Not only does Teal offer the ability to track job postings, take notes, rate the jobs, provide resume guidance, and track the whole application process .. for free .. the Chrome extension allows one to save the job with as little as two clicks. Even if the job board or site isn’t supported by the extension, it still provides the opportunity to easily copy/paste the information without having to navigate multiple tabs or windows. GOLD!

Save Your Job to the Application Tracker

Once you have your job saved to your Application Tracker – open up the Job to see an overview of the Notes, Resumes, Contacts, Email Templates and Interview Check List for that job.

Navigate to the “Notes” Section of the Job

In the “Notes'' section, you’ll see the option to choose the dates for when the job was posted, when you saved it to your tracker, the date you applied, and when you want to follow up. You’ll want to reference the job description, your resume, and the Interview Check List to review any important to-do’s such as researching the company culture, follow up communication.

Log Your Notes

After reviewing your to-do’s, you’ll want to log any important information to your “Notes” section on the right. You can log notes of relevant achievements to mention during the interview, questions you have about the company, topics to reference during the interview, and any important takeaways you want to keep track of.
