About The Position
As a Yard Jockey for Agile Cold Storage, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facility's yard. You will be responsible for moving trailers and containers within the yard, ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. Your attention to detail and safety will be critical in preventing accidents and delays. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of trailer movements and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. This position is for Weekend Shift, Friday-Sunday 6:00AM -6:30PM.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license is preferred but not required
- At least 1 year of experience operating a yard tractor or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with Operations and Customer Service to ensure containers are moved to the correct locations.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness to ensure the efficient and safe movement of trailers and containers within the yard.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other team members and management.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a transportation or warehousing environment
- Familiarity with log keeping
