About The Position

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required for this position; an advanced degree in accounting or taxation and/or CPA license is a strong plus.
• At least 10 years of experience preparing corporate tax returns, both state and federal are necessary; some of this experience may have been acquired in positions such as tax analyst, financial analyst, tax accountant, auditor, or similar role.
• Expert-level knowledge of US GAAP that pertain to corporate taxes including a solid understanding of ASC 740 is essential.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using terminology and content at a level that is appropriate for the recipients.
• Advanced technology skills, including proficiency in Excel and SAP are expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly US-GAAP financial statements and tax reports; ensure that reports are accurate and submitted on a timely basis.
• Provide advice on tax matters to the business leaders and internal stakeholders.
• Develop responses to inquiries by internal and external auditors that pertain to matters within the area of responsibility.
• Perform calculations and compile documentation as part of interim and annual accounting for taxes, estimated payment filings, and tax planning.
• Analyze and interpret new tax legislation and regulations, reporting requirements, and court and regulatory agency decisions and similar events to identify potential impacts to the business and options for mitigation.
• Support special projects and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
